Dangerous Love promo video
Mary defies her parents in order to marry the man of her choice when she discovers they arranged for her to marry a wealthy Minister, Edward, instead. In a village deeply rooted in traditional culture, hostile to the Western concept of romance, Mary poses a threat to her clan and exemplifies the betrayal of their beliefs and traditions. She ends the arranged marriage and vows to follow her heart to be with a young school teacher, Sam. Mary and Sams life together is threatened when their families turn against them. Though the resilient young girl knows all along she will face danger and an uphill battle when Sam proposes to marry her, as they are about to start a family, jealousy, greed, hatred and murder begin to tear them apart. Dangerous Love is an emotional roller coaster of a story and reflects significantly on today's ever-relevant forces of love and tradition.

Drums United is an explosive and exciting world-percussion group led by drummer Lucas van Merwijk, that brings together rhythms and percussionists from all directions. Drums United is made up of nine percussionists, from seven different countries, Bangladesh, Senegal, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Surinam and Venezuela, and is much more than just a drum group. Its a smoking live band that not only gives the audience an opportunity of listening and watching top players, but also imparts the underlying message that people from widely varying natinalities can work well together. On both its previous show World of Rhythm and the current Ritmo Inferno the group mixes African, Latin, Spanish and Indian drum traditions with western drumming, utilizing contemporary electronic options open to the DJ. Since its inception in 2002 the band has been virtually on tour all the time. Their first theatre program World Of Rhythm was recorded live and is out now on DVD as well as CD.

Amsterdam Dakar Challenge - Afriki All Stars Promo
On the 1st of December 2009 Team Afriki All Stars will be part of the Amsterdam Dakar Challenge - 3FM Serious Request Edition. Afriki All Stars - Wouter and Reinier with the Landrover Discovery - will follow the rest of the teams on their way to Dakar, Senegal straight through the Sahara. With 7.000 kilometer still to go we wanted to test our car (and the Mitshubishi Colt which will also be joining as team Poernaka) on the Maasvlakte, The Netherlands.
